English- The Six-Day War!

We have been told to write a post about a conflict, where I chose to write about The Six-Day War, because I think that it is exiting that the war only lasted for six days when other wars last for years.

• The cause of the war was a strong build-up in Egypt and Syria, these countries threatened Israel with attacks. At the end of May, Egypt blocked the Gulf of Aqaba to Israelian shipping.
• The participents was Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Israel.
• 5. June completed the Israelian Air Force a surprise attack that destroyed most of the Egyptian, Jordanian and Syrian air forces on the ground. Then came the Israeli ground forces to attack, backed by aircraft.
• After Israel had invaded Sinai to the Suez Canal and the Gaza Strip from Egypt, and the west East-Jerusalem from Jordan and the Golan Heights from Syria. On 10. june it was signed a ceasefire agreement . I think that the solution was very smart. It was good for the countries, that they dont loose land or power.
